On Monday, May 6, it was carried out the launch and sponsorship ceremony of the new catamaran for Fred Olsen Shipping Company at Rodman Polyships Shipyard, in Meira, Pontevedra.

The new Rodman 80, 26 meters long and 9.80 meters wide, will have a capacity for 250 passengers and two engines of 1,470 HP each.

Fluidmecánica has designed and manufactured the following equipment for the catamaran:

Anchor windlass:

– Nominal pull: 7.9 kN

– Chain: Ø14 mm

Steering gear:

– Nominal torque: 2000 Nm (at each rudder)

As well as the hydraulic drive system with 180 kW of power for the bow thruster.
