On March, the S-81 ‘Isaac Peral’ submarine carried out its first static immersion according with the test schedule agreed between Navantia, the Navy and the Ministry of Defense.

The dive was carried out in the waters of the naval station La Algameca, in front of the Navy Diving Center. It is part of the safety milestones for the construction and testing of the S-80 submarine program and it is carried out after surface navigation and prior to immersion navigations.

The tests on the S-81 submarine will continue till its delivery to the Navy.

Fluidmecanica has collaborated closely with Navantia for the development, design and supply of the following submarine equipment:

• Hydraulic power units for external and internal loads.
• Centralized greasing system for supplying lubricating grease to the components on the outside of the submarine’s pressure hull.
• Hydraulic blocks (HU) to control the position of the hydraulic actuators of the submarine’s hydroplanes.
• Blocks is to open/close the seawater valves in the DAR cooling system
• Hydraulic blocks to open/close the SECO2 seawater hull valves.
• Design and manufacture of the diesel engine generators’ gas exhaust pipes, for surface navigation, snorkeling or total immersion.
