On last March, Fluidmecanica has carried out successfully the commissioning for the first of the 3 sister vessels of the Russian icebreaker series LK-60Ya class (Project 22220): Arktika.

Nuclear powered icebrakers of the Project 22220 series will lead ship convoys across the Arctic, breaking through ice approximately three meter thick.
The tests were carried out under the supervision of RMRS.
