The Port Authority of Thailand has accepted delivery of a newbuild dredger and a pair of hopper barges.
The IHC-designed dredger, named Rua Khut 5, will keep the navigational depth in the Chao Phraya River, which runs through Bangkok.
Rua Khut 5 is 61.5 meters long, with a beam of 11.5 m, draught of 1.45 m, and depth of 2.46 m.
Classified by BV, it has a crew capacity of 12 and can dredge to depths of up to 15m.
Rua Khut 5 is supported by a pair of hopper barges named Rua Din 11 and Rua Din 12.
